The Bowen Basin Mining Club, in partnership with the Queensland Resources Council, is proud to present the Queensland Mining Awards, now in their 12th year of celebrating industry excellence.

The Awards are open to contractors, suppliers and mining companies operating in Queensland. We celebrate the achievements and advances of our sector with a peer-judging panel composed of industry leaders, and a gala celebration during QME 2026 in Mackay.

Winners are recognised for their innovation, forward thinking and willingness to help our industry continue to set the standard in mining and resources production.

Our eight categories will once again highlight the industry’s best, from safety to productivity, collaboration and importantly, environmental and community/staff initiatives.

Projects delivered between April 2024 and April 2026 will be eligible to enter across a diverse range of categories:

Open to Contractors and Suppliers only:
- Glencore Productivity Award
- Austmine Innovation (METS) Award
- QME Best New Technology

Open to Entire Mining & Resources Sector 
- Blackwoods Collaboration Award
- National Group Community/Staff Engagement or Equal Opportunity Award
- Mackay Safety Environment Award
- Macmahon Safety Award

Open to Mining Companies only:
- Hastings Deering Innovation (Miner) Award

The Queensland Mining Contractor of the Year will be awarded to one finalist who displayed excellence across several categories.
