HISTORY OF THE PEPPERPOT AWARDS
The Pepperpot Awards were named in 1968 by Bill Parker, APR, then-chapter president and head of Campbell Soup Company’s communications department, which is headquartered just over the bridge in Camden, New Jersey. Parker suggested the name to conjure up excitement and good-humored intrigue, saying, “Like Philly’s famous soup, we put everything we have into all of our public relations campaigns.”
INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
The PRSA Individual Achievement Awards honor extraordinary individuals whose accomplishments include commitment to education, distinguished service, excellence in writing, excellence in community service, and professional promise. To submit your nominee for any of the following awards, please visit http://philly.org/pepperpot-awards. As a reminder, the deadline for nominating individuals for this recognition is Monday, October 27. There is no fee to enter the Individual Achievement Awards.
