Call for Abstracts
The Singapore International Physiotherapy Congress (SIPC) 2026 aims to bring together clinicians, thought leaders, academic scientists and researchers to exchange and share their insights, experiences and research results about all aspects of physiotherapy to improve patient care across the continuum of healthcare settings from acute to the community. Be part of this exciting physiotherapy movement in Singapore. The Congress Organising Committee now wishes to invite proposals for platform and poster presentation.

Call for abstract closing date: 31 December 2025.
Abstracts are invited in the following categories:
- Innovative services and practice
Includes novel rehab techniques, new protocols, care models or technology enhanced practices - Sustainable healthcare practices
Activities or services that promote sustainability in healthcare and utilisation such as preventive health, patient self management and education, telehealth and remote monitoring, community based care models, workforce sustainability and environmental sustainability - Health promotion
Activities, services and practice relating to improving health and preventive healthcare for different population groups, community outreach and public health campaigns - Education and Professional Development
Activities related to teaching and lifelong learning (technology based, simulation, service learning etc) to professional growth initiatives such as mentorship and leadership development - Interprofessional collaboration
Different aspects of interprofessional collaboration that enhance patient outcomes, resource efficiency, care integration and holistic care delivery across hospital, community and home settings - Undergraduate and Postgraduate research
Student-led research projects relevant to physiotherapy practice, includes pilot studies, feasibility trials, translational research - Others
Services in niche or emerging areas of practice, initiatives addressing unique health challenges.
1) General Guideline for submission
- All abstracts must be written in English and submitted online.
- All abstracts must contain the original scientific data collected by the author(s).
- The abstract body should not exceed 300 words, and it should include the following key headings: Introduction/Background, Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
- The title should not exceed 256 characters.
- References should not be included in the abstract.
- The SIPC 2026 Committee reserves the right to reject any submission.
2) Presentation format
The reports may be made in one of the following formats:
Platform presentation:
Platform presentations are spoken accounts of the research or development, generally accompanied by visual information in the form of PowerPoint slides and followed by a period of discussion. There will be two types of platform presentation:
- Classic: a session of 8 platform presentations with speakers presenting their abstract for 8 minutes followed by 2 minutes question time.
- Rapid five: a platform presentation session of 10 abstracts each delivering key messages from the research or development using no more than five slides in five minutes (5 x 5); followed by 15 minutes open discussion of the findings, interpretation and application in practice between delegates and presenters at points around the room, and a further 15 minutes of moderated discussion, drawing all presenters and delegates back together.
Poster presentation:
Posters are reports summarising information using brief written statements and graphic materials, such as graphs, charts, figures and photographs mounted on a poster board, the dimensions of which must not exceed the allocated space per poster (this will be notified at the time of acceptance).
3) Submissions should include the following:
The completed abstract (maximum 500 words) will be included in the proceedings and must be structured using the following format requirements:
- Title (not more than 256 characters)
- Introduction: Please provide a concise introduction including the objectives and scope of the paper (75 to 120 words)
- Results: Please describe the results, observations and conclusions of the paper. (100 to 200 words)
- Clinical Relevance: Please explain the clinical importance of or the novel (new) information presented in the paper. (20 to 30 words)
Author(s).
Please note that the first author should be the abstract presenter by default. The names of author(s) will be published in order as listed in the submission form.
On behalf of all authors the submitter will confirm:
- Release of the copyright to publish electronically and in other formats information from the proposal that will be presented at SIPC 2026 (eg congress website, programme, print materials).
- Consent to have authors’ names, affiliation and biographical material being used in connection with the publication of your work.
When completing the abstract form the submitter will ensure that all author(s) listed have read and understood the general information and the requirements they are expected to fulfil.
4) Timeline
Submission Deadline: 31 December 2025
Notification of Acceptance: 10 March 2026
Conference Registration and Payment Deadline: 15 April 2026
