The ACHS International Medal celebrates individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their profession and the global healthcare community.

This prestigious Medal recognises those who have significantly advanced the delivery of healthcare by championing quality and safety in their field internationally. Award recipients gain the opportunity to further showcase their achievements and promote their impactful work among colleagues and peers.

Applications can be submitted by individuals or through the nomination of an individual who meets the criteria for this award.

We invite you to submit your application or nomination for this esteemed recognition. All submissions must be made electronically through the Judgify system by Monday, 27 April 2026, at 11:59 PM AEST.

Important: Applications submitted after the deadline or via other means will NOT be accepted. We look forward to recognising and celebrating excellence in healthcare.

Eligibility Requirements: You can apply only if you are eligible.

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must not be an Australian citizen or dual citizen or permanent resident; and
  • Must reside outside of Australia; and
  • Must have made or be making a significant contribution to the global healthcare community; and
  • Must consistently demonstrate that you go above and beyond your professional day-to-day requirements as indicated in your job / position description; and
  • Demonstrate at least one (1) of the following:
    • Distinguished leadership in quality practices and implementation;
    • Outstanding achievement in maintaining a continuous quality improvement focus on healthcare delivery systems;
    • Outstanding achievement in the promotion of quality, safety, and value in healthcare; and/or
    • Outstanding achievement in research into quality and safety of healthcare systems.
