FOSTERING A SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE CYBERSPACE AMIDST DISRUPTION

As in life, a cliched constant in cybersecurity is change. Change in the threat landscape, attack vectors, and adaptability of threat actors to adjust and innovate in probing for gaps and weaknesses. GovWare has essentially always been a focal point in efforts to manage the evolutionary journey that is cybersecurity, as well as in harnessing positive change. It brings together the best in the business on the latest developments, identifies emerging challenges, and collates the most compelling strategic and tactical options of the game of thrust and parry in cyberspace.

And change, with its concomitant disruption, has seldom been as constant or profound as in recent years. Digitalisation accelerated by COVID-19 and the proliferation of cyber-attacks have pushed companies and governments to ramp up their investments in cybersecurity solutions and talents to safeguard assets. Asia was the most-attacked region in 2021, IBM Security X-Force Threat Intelligence Index reported, accounting for one in every four cybersecurity attacks launched globally. Businesses and the economies they underpin continue to morph in the throes of transformation and reinvention, with the interweaving of technology into organisational DNA driving a renewed and heightened recognition of cybersecurity in boardrooms and the minds that make decisions in them. Recent international conflicts have also driven home previous warnings of the weaponisation of technology and the potential meshing of cyber and physical conflict.

Navigating through the rapid development in this evolving cyber landscape is both an exciting and challenging journey for all stakeholders. Policies, roles, and applications are being redefined as we speak. More than ever, the cybersecurity community needs to rally together to share critical information, best practices, exchange ideas and work hand in hand to strengthen the ecosystem. Cyber safety and sustainability underpins the physical reality of survival and viability for today’s modern civilisations.

GovWare 2022 is a milestone event that seeks to serve this journey. We will examine the business end of technology tools and bleeding edge developments and set this within the proper context of thought leadership in the harnessing of technology to create and transform.

The quality and standards of GovWare on commercially neutral content will remain a hallmark and safeguarded by a Programme Advisory Board composed of acknowledged experts from the user and industry practitioner domains.

GovWare 2022 invites cyber professionals, policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders from both public and private domains to discuss key challenges in establishing a safe and secure cyberspace, within the context of an ecosystem defined by rapid evolution, and an organisational environment subject to myriad threats and challenges.

Event Format

GovWare 2022 will be an in-person event, with an exhibition complemented by a conference with Safe Management Measures (SMM) in place, in accordance with the relevant government guidelines and regulations.

Call for Speakers opens: 20 June 2022

Call for Speakers closes: 27 July 2022

Notification to Applicants: From 24 August 2022

Submission of Presentation Materials: 23 September 2022

Session Type

Each session is 30 minutes, inclusive of Q&A.

Official Terms and Submission Process & Requirements

1. GovWare 2022 does not accept product or vendor-related sales pitches.

2. Submissions that highlight emerging technologies, frameworks, methodologies, vulnerabilities and exploits, etc., are strongly encouraged and will be given priority.

3. Each submission must include:

a) Synopsis (not exceeding 150 words) providing key ideas and takeaways

b) Applicant’s biography (not exceeding 150 words)

c) Applicant’s recent 5cm x 5cm high-resolution photograph of at least 300dpi. View Speaker's Best Practices for photo submission guidelines, and

d) Focus Area (see Focus Areas section below for a list of available topics).

4. Applicants will receive an email notification upon each successful submission. An acceptance or rejection email notification will be sent to applicants from 24 August 2022, after the review period.

5. Applicants will be contacted if there are any questions about their submission(s).

6. The Programme Committee reserves all rights to reject submission(s) not adhering to the above terms.

7. The Programme Committee will try its best to accommodate your preferred speaking slots.

8. The Programme Committee reserves the right to change or modify its Terms and Conditions, dates and/or content of this invitation at any time without prior notice.
